Studio photography is not nearly as cost effective, or appropriate, for modeling portfolio work.Keep in mind that this picture, for a modeling portfolio, was taken by a qualified modeling portfolio photographer, C. A. Passinault, for a specialized, professional market, which is modeling. A wedding photographer or a portrait studio will not be able to give models what they need for an effective modeling portfolio, as you have to know what you are doing!This is the 12th picture in our Tampa Bay Modeling online portfolio. It doesnt matter, anymore, especially in Tampa Bay. A composite cards needs at least five, on average, with a headshot on the front, and four different looks on the back of the comp card. Trying Too Hard.

Why is it that we see so-called professionals in the industry who try too hard? Could it be that they are insecure and lack the integrity to be honest? Don't say that you're hip and cool when you're not. Don't say that you are professional and have integrity when you don't. Don't name drop reputable people in order to make it look like they endorse you. Most people will see right through the lies and your credibility will be destroyed.
Insecure people who have no real clue what they are doing are no benefit to the people that they come in contact with. Confidence comes from experience and associating with other reputable professionals. If you want to work in the modeling industry and make a lifelong career out of it, the first thing that you can be is honest with yourself. Recognize your limitations and work to overcome them. Find out what you are cut out to do and work on that. You won’t only feel good about what you do, but you will be able to respect yourself and the work of other professionals. Also, take criticism constructively. If someone makes a comment about what you are doing, don’t get defensive, as that just shows that you are insecure and unprofessional. Consider the source, and then use it constructively.
Treat others the way that you want to be treated.
