Studio photography is not nearly as cost effective, or appropriate, for modeling portfolio work.Keep in mind that this picture, for a modeling portfolio, was taken by a qualified modeling portfolio photographer, C. A. Passinault, for a specialized, professional market, which is modeling. A wedding photographer or a portrait studio will not be able to give models what they need for an effective modeling portfolio, as you have to know what you are doing!This is the 12th picture in our Tampa Bay Modeling online portfolio. Yet another Tampa model shows a marketable look in their portfolio. The best models are capable of the most looks, and are not locked into a single look!Agency model or independent model? It doesnt matter, anymore, especially in Tampa Bay. Professional models like this one can be booked without going through an agency, saving both the model and the job agency fees.Modeling portfolios need at least six looks, and by looks, we mean different looks. A composite cards needs at least five, on average, with a headshot on the front, and four different looks on the back of the comp card. Content Changes.

The content on this site is changing, and just may be even more useful to models and subsequently controversial in the modeling industry. We just landed another exclusive from Independent Modeling (which will no longer be hosting the series), and it is the popular modeling series Born Beautiful. Right now, the first two "episodes" of Born Beautiful are being edited and are having more added to them. They will be available as soon as the long-awaited episode three of Born Beautiful goes online here, only on our site. The third episode of the series is rumored to be the most interesting chapter yet, with model Cameron Passinault putting a Tampa model and talent agency in their place as she finally realizes that she no longer has to depend upon agencies to book work as a professional model. With no career leverage on the model and very little to offer someone who knows how to get work, the agency and the model have a meeting which will be a source of controversy for years to come. In future episodes, which will take place after the initial three episode expositional arc (actors, you know what we’re saying!), the writer of Born Beautiful tells us to expect a mix of smart professional models and Veronica Mars- Looks like our favorite model may get her fair share of being nosy, investigating suspicious things, and scam fighting done as she works it! We’re hoping that this story series and other anecdotal content will inspire more models to start thinking for themselves.
We are also beefing up our original content and are committed to the creation of the largest, most comprehensive, and most effective model scam fighting resource ever devised. Our new model scam section may be accessible from our main menu, too. Our models are all pushing to make this site a scam fighter, and we're now learning from what Independent Modeling did back in the day. Tampa Bay seems to be heavy in model scams, and we can do a lot to deal with that and help out models and aspiring models before they get burned!
Danielle Cooper is working on a series of opinion posts, which will soon include "Agencies Suck", "How to take advantage of portfolio networking sites" (opinion post or article? She won't say, but we're hearing it could be both!), and a piece about embellished credits in the modeling industry. Danielle wants to continue to address issues with model portfolio photographers, fair rates, TFP quality issues, and other things that are major concerns of all models.
It’s a good thing that some people don’t know our real names, but it’s for our safety. All these issues have to be explored and solutions have to be pushed so we can help change the Tampa Bay modeling market and the industry for the better.
If we can only help just one model, it will be worth it. In reality, however, hundreds upon hundreds will be helped, and the Tampa Bay modeling industry at least will become a very different place in the near future. We look forward to helping shape that positive future.
