First modeling portfolio picture of a Tampa model on Tampa Bay Modeling. All portfolio photographs, unless otherwise noted, by C. A. Passinault, lead photographer for Aurora PhotoArts Tampa Photography and Design, as well as Director of Tampa Bay Modeling. C. A. Passinault is a top photographer, as well as a modeling expert.Second model photograph on Tampa Bay Modeling. Click on the image for an anecdote of the modeling shoot which produced this picture. In this third picture, you can see why the Tampa Bay area is one of the best in the world for modeling portfolio development work. Photograph by Tampa photographer C. A. Passinault.Image four of our online portfolio of another Tampa model. This photograph, if we are not mistaken, was taken on location in the Tampa Bay area. The best modeling portfolio photographs are location shots. This is another great picture. This is the fifth model photograph on Tampa Bay Modeling. Pictures featured in our thumbnail array may not be the same as those of models which are in our featured model section, but often, they are one and the same.Unmatched in any Florida modeling market. The quality of this image is excellent! Photograph by C. A. Passinault, our resident photographer and modeling expert.Another top Tampa model gets their look on. The best models can obtain a wide range of looks, as you can see when you look at other pictures of this model! Is it any wonder why more and more companies and art directors are booking independent models without going through an agency? Proof that you can be a professional model, with a lucrative career, without being dependent upon an agency to find and book modeling jobs!Another awesome photograph of a Tampa model by modeling photographer C. A. Passinault, lead photographer Aurora PhotoArts, and director of Tampa Bay Modeling. For modeling portfolio work in the Tampa Bay area, nothing beats location work. Studio photography is not nearly as cost effective, or appropriate, for modeling portfolio work.Keep in mind that this picture, for a modeling portfolio, was taken by a qualified modeling portfolio photographer, C. A. Passinault, for a specialized, professional market, which is modeling. A wedding photographer or a portrait studio will not be able to give models what they need for an effective modeling portfolio, as you have to know what you are doing! This is the 12th picture in our Tampa Bay Modeling online portfolio. Yet another Tampa model shows a marketable look in their portfolio. The best models are capable of the most looks, and are not locked into a single look!Agency model or independent model? It doesnt matter, anymore, especially in Tampa Bay. Professional models like this one can be booked without going through an agency, saving both the model and the job agency fees.Modeling portfolios need at least six looks, and by looks, we mean different looks. A composite cards needs at least five, on average, with a headshot on the front, and four different looks on the back of the comp card. This Tampa model is demonstrating a marketable look right now, in this photography. Picture by C. A. Passinault.

TAMPA BAY MODELING

Preparing for a prolonged offensive in our ongoing modeling industry conflict.

MARCH 30, 2012 NEWS UPDATE

Tampa Bay Modeling and our allies are preparing to launch a renewed offensive in our ongoing conflict in the modeling industry. This offensive, which will last for years, as well as obtain and maintain an intensity not seen since this all began with Independent Modeling back in 2001, is for change in the modeling industry. The impact will be felt the most in the Tampa Bay market. Tampa Bay Modeling will be expanded, with new resources and tools. Independent Modeling will be relaunched, with a rebooted web site which has been in the works since 2010, and Independent Modeling will become the core resource for all of our modeling resource sites. Florida Modeling Career, which launched back in the summer of 2008 and has been adrift on the Internet since, will become fully operational. Advanced Model, too, will finally launch this Spring.
Tampa Bay Modeling will update our existing regional support sites and will deploy new ones, too. Tampa Modeling Agency and Tampa Talent Agency will be expanded. Tampa Talent Scams will become a huge scam activity database and scam fighting site. Act Model Now will also be expanded. We are now deploying our new Tampa Model Management site, which will neuter the attempts of agencies which try to manage models, as well as educate everyone on why model management simply does not work in Florida. Agency-represented, independent, or a blend of both, models should manage their own careers. Agencies managing the models who they are supposed to be working for is a blatant working conflict of interest, in our opinion, and anyone who is not an agency cannot make any money finding and referring models that they supposedly manage into jobs, so that pretty much counts them out. Well, that is, unless you want to be blindly misled and ripped off. Tampa Bay Modeling has yet to see a single model management business in the Tampa Bay market, which is not an agency, turn out to be legitimate.
Despite modeling and talent agencies being a legitimate part of the modeling industry, we are now at the point that we no longer trust Tampa Bay modeling and talent agencies. They did it to themselves. We keep discovering that supposedly-reputable talent agency owners in the Tampa Bay area are allowing their bookers to openly slander professionals, professionals who they do not control. Sorry, but we do not allow agencies to control us (and models should not allow agencies to control them, either). Modeling and talent agencies answer to US, as well as to smart professional models (the real ones who are independent and who think for themselves, not the ones who claim to be smart, kiss agency butt, and spread slander about genuine industry professionals; being dependent upon agencies and helping them to spread rumors is not smart). The games and the shady business deals are over, agencies. Hellfire is about to rain down upon this market, in a figurative and business sense, and the agencies will pay for their sins; paying in lost business. We are going to raise so many questions about agencies that they are going to find it very difficult to do business. Regulation? That’s easy to deal with compared to what we are going to do. The agencies will be forced to do their jobs and will be put in their proper place, especially when models realize that they do not have to dependent upon agencies and begin to scrutinize them. How is this possible? Well, we do happen to have the dominant voice and leverage in this market, and models do read this site, so there you go. The agencies already knew this, though (and we do rather enjoy watching them and their slow-witted webmasters react to everything that we do. Follow the leader, primitives!)
Agencies, slandering others does not work, and it backfires. We are going to teach you this lesson. Allow us to demonstrate by helping models compete with you and to take away your market share (and, as a result, the model who are stupid enough to be dependent upon agencies for jobs will also lose work). You are in the wrong, and things that will happen in the market are the fruits of the unethical seeds that you have sown. It’s just sad that you have lost our respect, and that you deserve that loss of respect. The agencies simply need to do their jobs by working for models and finding them work, while keeping their mouths shut.
We are already at the top of the game in this market, with more exposure than all of the agencies and the models combined, and that lead is about to be substantially increased.
